What began in February with the training of 25 community leaders, including Eng. Ricardo Mamani from IPTK, has now become an important milestone for Bolivia. By sharing the knowledge he acquired, Eng. Mamani led the training of the first CERT Team in the Municipality of Colquechaca, composed of community leaders prepared to support emergency response efforts and strengthen the resilience of their communities.
As part of this process, participants received their certificates, as well as basic equipment and tools that will strengthen their capacity to respond in an organized and safe manner whenever their community needs them most.
We congratulate each new member of the CERT Team for their commitment and dedication to serving their community. We also extend our gratitude to IPTK and the Municipal Government of Colquechaca for supporting this initiative, which sets a precedent for community preparedness in Bolivia.
