Friends of Mother Earth / Amigos de la Madre Tierra is looking for mission-aligned individuals to join our Board of Directors.
We are building Bolivia’s first nationwide network of Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) to help communities respond to climate-driven disasters such as wildfires, floods, and drought.
In February 2026 we launched the initiative with a CERT Train-the-Trainer program in Cochabamba, certifying instructors from six departments across Bolivia. These trainers are now returning to their communities to establish local CERT teams.
As the program grows, we are seeking board members who can help guide the organization’s development.
We would especially welcome individuals with experience in:
* climate resilience or environmental sustainability
* nonprofit governance or fundraising
* international development / Latin America
* finance, law, or philanthropy
Board service is volunteer-based, with meetings primarily online.
If you or someone in your network may be interested, please contact us.
Your guidance could help strengthen community resilience in regions facing increasing climate risk.
